Please bring this service to devon! We live 7 miles from our exchange and therefore can't get broadband at all! We have to suffer from 20kb/s speeds - and with 3 teenage kids taking exams and social networking - it's almost impossible to ever access the internet! We would obviosly be interested in fibre optic broadband, but don't know if any of our neighbours (about 8 houses) would.
How much would it cost to create a broadband internet connection using your technology? And how many people would need to be interested to make it worth while?

Thanks, steve.

The Dig Your Own Fibre approach is a great way to keep the costs of deploying NGA FttH to a minimum, especially the first few metres across people's gardens and through the wall, as these aspects cause the most unit costs and often emotional grief if done by commercial contractors.

HU9 area. Sick of Karoo. I pay for an 8mb connection which is throttled to 2mb... sometimes I only get one. When I first took the service it was 6 or 7mb. If you paid for a 4 course meal in a restaurant and they served egg and chips that would be false advertising... Seems acceptable for KC to simply change their terms!

Bring on change... Karoo and KC in general can then kiss my $$$

My partner and I recently moved to the Cottingham area (HU16) and we're quite frankly astounded at the almost stone-age area connections and shameful monopoly practices being employed in the area. Any form of alternative would benefit the people of the area and perhaps encourage the current regime to offer more competitive pricing.

Hi I live in Hu8 area and family in Hu9, I know my family and friends as well as myself would welcome this service. I use xbox live and often watch tv online but even with kc's top set up I'm still let down and shown up when other friends around the UK or America ect.. run far better then me. I don't know of one person who's happy with the service from K.C and think you would win over everyone as word spreads even with the £50 price point! I pay 30 and for what? Family also in the media business so speed and power are important as I'm sure it would be to many businesses, school's, uni's ect..
I hope you have the currage to run with this and roll out across the full city as I'm sure once people realised all the advantages like digital tv, music, media and video calling, they will see it's great value for money and ditch our poor excuse for a provider!
Keep up the good work, I wish you every success and hope I'm able to take up your service in the very near future.

Hi David, Feel free to get in touch via email with more details of your requirements. We can give you a few more details on how to get started and what the general gist of what we do is.

Hey Vincent, As you guessed, unfortunately we don't have a branch in Canada. There is a fair bit of info on the Internet about Canadian community broadband networks however that looks pretty positive. http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=community+broadband+canada - Perhaps doing it yourself as a community could be a way forward if the incumbent is letting you down ;-)
