Back in June 2008, I left the UK BSG Next-Gen conference with a sense that Mutual asset ownership was very much a fringe interest, with the conventional thinking of incumbent telco control of next-gen being an inevitable “given”

What has really impressed here in Copenhagen is the equality, if not outright predominance of community/mutual/grassroots initiatives that have already delivered across Europe.

There is much for the UK to absorb in clearly identified practical steps to achieve a fast track to the next-gen FttH mutual eNdGAme and it has been fantastic to make many new connections with potential EU partners to accelerate this transformational process.

In summary an excellent day, and more to follow tomorrow
